Train CollectablesScroll down or click on one of these more specific pages to browse train collectables:
As a general rule, if you're looking for a train collectable, an online auction is your best bet. Going to auctions was always the best way to get a good deal on railroadiana and train collectables. Now -- with Internet auctions -- it's the best way to find a wide selection. Here are train collectable auctions currently running on eBay. These are live. Click on any of the listings for more information. If there are no listings above, it could be a bug in the program. You may want to click over and search for "train collectable" or something more specific such as "New York Subway train vintage token". You might be surprised at what you find. The variety of items being auctioned at eBay never ceases to amaze me. By the way, if you collect railroadiana, Classic Railroad Advertising: Riding the Rails Again is a fun book. Railroad Collectibles: An Illustrated Value Guide and Railroadiana: The Official Price Guide For the Year 2000 and Beyond are the leading price guides.
Happy Hunting, Ted Whitten P.S. If you're new to eBay, here are some tips. The first thing you'll need to do is register. This is free and easy. You'll have to provide some basic contact information, but that will be kept completely private. Before you bid on an item I highly recommend checking the seller's "feedback rating." This gives you an indication of how the seller has treated other buyers. Almost everybody ends up with a negative review here and there, but too many is a bad sign. Read the negative comments and decide for yourself. Also be sure to check the shipping and payment details. Some unscrupulous sellers charge too much for shipping and handling. P.P.S. If any of these are closer to home for you, consider: eBay Canada, eBay UK, or eBay Australia.
