As a general rule, if you're looking for designer pens, an online auction is your best bet. Going to auctions was always the best way to find bargains on rare and unusual pens. Now, with Internet auctions, it's the best way to find a wide selection. Here are pen auctions currently running on eBay. These are live. Click on any of the listings for more information. If there are no listings above, it could be a bug in the program. You may want to click over and search for "pen" or something more specific such as "vintage fountain pen". You might be surprised at what you find. The variety of items being auctioned at eBay never ceases to amaze me. By the way, if you're interested in fountain pens, you might want to consider picking up Fountain Pens: History and Design. It has wonderful photography.
Have Fun! Ted Whitten P.S. If you're new to eBay, here are some tips. The first thing you'll need to do is register. This is free and easy. You'll have to provide some basic contact information, but that will be kept completely private. Before you bid on an item I highly recommend checking the seller's "feedback rating." This gives you an indication of how the seller has treated other buyers. Almost everybody ends up with a negative review here and there, but too many is a bad sign. Read the negative comments and decide for yourself. Also be sure to check the shipping and payment details. Some unscrupulous sellers charge too much for shipping and handling. P.P.S. If any of these are closer to home for you, consider: eBay Canada, eBay UK, or eBay Australia.
